Assuming you mean the HBO prison show...

*dances around* yes the hbo prison show. i love it. deep love. and i never play too much in fandom--i'm just in it for the fic! (and anyway it is a show about sociopaths and psychopaths in jail so crazy seems almost de rigeur) but thank you thank you!!! i really appreciate the link.

the show is pretty amazing, is it not? unfortunately, I only read a fic or two here and there, and really couldn't direct you to any. Glad you're loving the show. It's one of my favs

I don't know. I never read fic, because I was afraid it would be horrible and ruin my love of Keller. (Plus, obviously, I'm rather more in love with het than slash although slash is my boy-on-the-side.) However, I did rather like the little snippets of fic I saw belonging to

trillingstar in the porn battle. Maybe go see if she has fic tags or a website and work from there? When I next get in the mood for slash, she's on my list as the first stop.

i meant to reply to this ages ago! here's my thinking about het v slash in fanfic. well, boiled down to a bare bone thing anyway. <--bare bone, hee hee. oh my goodness. so for me it's all about canon, not subtext and not fanon. i think well-written, delicious, hot porn is good in any pairing, but for me it has to be there on the screen. hence my predeliction for het pairings since, in our still homophobic though less so culutre, they tend to be canon. however, if the pairing is canon and gay, bring it on! i think beecher/keller is some of the hottest, sessiest shit to hit the screen and it's canon. so i'll happily read oz fic til the cows come home and then i'll read it to the cows.

Oh, interesting! That make sense, and I always wonder for fans who like both het and slash if they prefer one over the other. Or if they have a sort of a method to their madness. My method doesn't tend to include canon so much except in subtext. I tend to take personalities and imagine the dynamic they might have, especially where slash is concerned. With het I tend towards canon ships because there's so many of them, and a lot of my shows tend to have one leading man and one leading woman and thus... voila. Although, with SG-1, there was one woman and umpteen men, so the multi-shipping worked really well for me. (I tend to be able to ship women with lots of male characters, but once I decide who a male character should be with then that's it for them.)

But with slash, it's about an interesting dynamic. I liked Jack/Cam in SG-1 despite few scenes together, because I could imagine their dynamic. With Oz, I actually would have explored Beecher/Said.
